June 25-28, 2009
The Boston Whaler Owners Club would like to invite you to attend Boston Whaler's 7th annual Rendezvous in the beautiful Bimini Islands. This year's event will be located at:
Bimini Sands
South Bimini, Bahamas
Contact: Viveca Lubin
Telephone Number: 242/347-3500
Boston Whaler has a block of rooms available for our owners on a first come first serve basis. Make your reservations now as there are a limited number of rooms available. Each person is responsible for his or her own hotel accommodations. Please reference Boston Whaler when reserving your room.
To get the party started, there will be a cocktail reception at the Bimini Sands Tiki Bar. This is your first chance to mingle with other Whaler owners as well as the staff of Boston Whaler. Details of the event will be discussed and light hors d' oeuvres will be available.
There are several activities scheduled over the three days that include a fishing tournament, snorkeling, island games and much more. Don't forget about our annual Honeymoon Harbor Island Bash that involves a Friday lunch on the beach and as much deserted island relaxation as you can handle. The rendezvous will end with a fabulous dinner located at the Bimini Sands Tiki bar on Saturday evening.
Pre-Event Meeting
Captain Wil Rogers will lead the group to paradise with a departure out of Ft. Lauderdale at 7am on Thursday, June 25. The night prior to the event there will be a meeting to discuss the departure along with details of the event itself. All boat captains should attend the meeting. It will be held at the 15th Street Fishery at 7pm.
We would like to ask our guests that are trailering their boats from out of town to use the Lauderdale Marina as their departure location. The group can use the public boat ramp adjacent to the marina at the east end of 15th Street. There will be a limited amount of complimentary vehicle and trailer storage spaces provided by the Lauderdale Marina. Please contact Capt. Matt Weick, Service Manager, Lauderdale Marina, Inc. at 954/523-8507 for a reservation and slip assignment. Reservations must be received no later than June 9, 2009.
There are many hotels in the Ft. Lauderdale area. If you need hotel accommodations the evening before departure, the Whaler staff for the event will be staying at the Embassy Suites, 1100 Southeast 17th Street, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, 33316, 954/527-2700.
